father Anthony Paparella is from Bari, Italy on the Southern Coast of
the Adriatic Sea. Bari is famous for its fish and shellfish. In 1954,
my father moved to the United States and settled in Hoboken, New Jersey.
My Mother is also from Italy, where she and my father knew each other.
They married after moving to the United States. My father was a builder in New Jersey and in 1973 he and my mother moved to South Florida to retire. Six months later my father decided to open Gino's Market. The rest is history! The market has been in business for twenty-five years in Hollywood, Florida. Gino's Market is located at 5729 Johnson Street.
